SITUATION Barn Farm is ideally situated near the magnificent North Cornwall Coast. We are a short drive from the fishing harbours of Port Isaac and Boscastle wIth Padstow just a little further away. The sandy beaches of Polzeath and Daymar are only a few miles away and closer still the secluded beaches of Trebarwith, Tregardock and Lundy. Also close by is the mystical village of Tintagel famous for its links with Arthurian legend. Bodmin Moor with the highest peaks in Comwall of Rough Tor and Brown Willy (from where you can see both north and south coasts on a clear day) are close by and easily visible from the farm. The market town of Camelford is nearby and Wadebridge only 8 miles away. THINGS TO DO The area is ideal for all sports, surfboard and wetsuit hire is available at most beaches, and lessons are available. The walker will be in their element with the south west coastal footpath only a five minute drive away, or inland the vast expanse of Bodmin Moor. Sea fishing trips are available from the harbour villages. There are several golf courses in the area the nearest of which is Bowood set in beautiful grounds. Wadebridge is the ideal starting place for the Camel Trail Cycle Way. Cycle or walk along the old railway line following the estuary toward Padstow (5 miles) or inland following the course of the river through wooded valleys to Poley's Bridge (12 miles). Cycle hire is available in Wadebridge or Padstow. Pencarrow House and Lanhydrock House are open seasonally. Toward the south coast you can visit the world famous Eden Project and the not to be missed Lost Gardens of Heligan. Travel further west and explore the smugglers coves of the Lizard Peninsula or onwards to Lands End. At Barn Farm, you will find our self-catering accommodation comfortable, cosy and welcoming at any time of the year . After a day enjoying one of the many beaches in the area or a day spent visiting the many attractions, you can come home to experience the ways of a working farm. Fish in our private well-stocked ponds, try your hand at clay shooting or just stroll through the fields at your leisure enjoying the wildlife and the extensive views towards Bodmin Moor, or just sit and enjoy the sunset. You might even catch a glimpse of a barn owl, fox or badger. Children will love the experience of helping out with the many animals on the farm. (Parents too!). Visit in the springtime and the hedges are alive with primroses, bluebells, yellow gorse and campion. The local village of St Teath is within walking distance where you will find shops, a church and the village inn. It offers extensive views of the surrounding area. ACCOMMODATION Sunnybank is set on the left side of the farm in a secluded garden with picnic table, chairs and a barbeque. You will find the interior light and spacious.
